Pressure Vessels

Design and manufacture of pressure vessels is Vessco UHE’s core business. We are capable of fabricating complex and intricate units using precision engineering techniques, right up to the largest pressure vessels transportable by road. We have produced single replacement pressure vessels for established plants, and have also manufactured multiple units (up to 50 vessels) for entirely new sites – both in the UK and overseas.

Vessco UHE has developed an enviable reputation for high pressure fabrications, supplying thick walled units, including a 45mm thick chrome molybdenum exchanger for Sabic Petrochemicals and six off 336 barG 80mm/60mm thick units for Linde / Barton Firtop destined for a new installation in Abu Dhabi. These heavy walled units demand extremely high fabrication skills to ensure 100% radiography and 100% UT-examined, defect-free welds throughout the product. These skills are used in the manufacture of all the pressure vessels we manufacture.

We constantly strive to deliver on an ambitious objective – ‘right first time, every time’. Whilst understandably not always achievable, we use continuous improvement techniques to ensure that errors are minimised. Our key performance indicators for weld defects show a proportional reduction every quarter since inception of the business. Most pressure vessels we manufactured are fairly typical – but we have produced more elaborate units such as jacketed vessels, limpet coil vessels, reactor vessels, filter/dryer vessels which combine a filter vessel with a heat exchanger, lobster back vessels and vessels with complex internal structures.
